HIGHLIGHTS
ASUS Zenfone 11 could launch later this year with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset.
The smartphone has been spotted on the Google Play Console database.
This is the first time we’re seeing a phone with an unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC.
ASUS launched the Zenfone 10 series in June last year. Rumours followed shortly about the Zenfone 10 being the last smartphone from the series. But ASUS quashed those rumours saying that it’s not discontinuing the Zenfone smartphone lineup. 91mobiles has now spotted its sucessor, the Zenfone 11, on the Google Play Console confirming that we are indeed getting a new Zenfone later this year.
ASUS Zenfone 11 Google Play Console details
The Google Play Console listing confirms the phone’s moniker, and reveals key details about it as well.
Here, the ASUS Zenfone 11 is spotted with an octa-core Qualcomm chipset paired with Adreno 830 GPU. This chipset is believed to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which would presumably be the next flagship chipset from Qualcomm.
This is surprising as the next Zenfone was expected to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
This is an early sighting, and the chipset speculation suggests we’ll be seeing the ASUS Zenfone 11 sometime towards the end of the year after the announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
The Google Play listing also shows the Zenfone 11 with 16GB of RAM, and Android 14.
As for its design, we can see a punch-hole display with the power key and volume buttons on the right side.
