Beyond the Pocket: Practical Uses of AOOSTAR T-Box

The T-Box can be used as a digital signage or media center. It can simultaneously accommodate three displays in addition to a networking device, and a small computer. The AOOSTAR T-Box is equipped with the Intel N100 processor with a 6W quad-core chip based on the Alder Lake-N architecture. The Intel N100 processor is designed for small laptops and mini PCs and the mini PC is a low-power device. The cooling system of the AOOSTAR T-Box consists of a heat sink with a copper tube and a fan.

The T-Box mini PC’s major talking points are its compact size, low power consumption, and affordable price. The flip side of the T-Box is that it has underwhelming wireless capabilities. It supports Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity and WiFi 5 wireless connection. The T-Box is listed on Amazon in three marginally different sizes. These are 89 x 89 x 45mm, 87 x 87 x 40mm, and 84 x 80 x 45mm. The dimensions indicate that the AOOSTAR T-Box is quite small but it is not the smallest model available.

The AOOSTAR T-Box is equipped with 8GB of LPDDR5-4800 RAM and 256GB of PCIe 3.0 NVMe solid-state storage. The memory is attached to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded by the user. The attached SSD is however upgradeable. The AOOSTAR T-Box mini PC is available from Amazon at an affordable price tag of $149
