ollywood actor Bhumi Pednekar is known for portraying roles of strong, independent women who defy odds and break barriers. Bhumi will next be seen in Daldal in which she will be seen taking on the challenging role of a cop, a character she has never played in her career!
Bhumi's last release, Bhakshak, is a globally hit film on streaming. Over the years Bhumi's filmography has spoken volumes about her commitment to continue portraying women who are ambitious, independent and forward-thinking.
Bhumi shares, “It has been a very exciting year for me as an actor. If you look at my filmography, I have been fortunate enough to have found projects that help me portray strong, independent women who are sheer forces of nature!”
She adds, “Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan, Lust Stories, Bala, Badhaai Do, Saand Ki Aankh, Sonchiriya, Bhakshak are films that reflect what I think when it comes to portraying Indian women on screen.”
She further adds, “I want people to remember and celebrate our women because women play a huge hand in shaping society and they have every right to follow their dreams, passion and ambition. We are truly unstoppable!”
Recently, the talented star has started shooting for her upcoming streaming series Daldal that will release on Amazon. Bhumi says she loves Daldal because she gets to play a character that will shatter the societal glass-ceiling that women have to endure.
