A temporary police office has been established at the Singhu border to maintain a constant watch on the evolving situation.

The police have also sealed rural roads bordering Haryana to prevent protesters from progressing towards Delhi. A significant deployment of paramilitary personnel has been deployed on Delhi-Rohtak and Delhi-Bahadurgarh roads.

More than 5,000 security personnel have been deployed by the police, and cranes and earth movers with large containers are also being used to block roads.

Traffic restrictions

As a result of traffic restrictions and security measures, commuters experienced difficulties traveling between Delhi and the surrounding NCR towns.

The Delhi Police has also imposed prohibitory orders for a month, barring the entry of tractor processions, trucks, or other vehicles into the city. Police Commissioner Sanjay Arore issued an order stating that the assembly of people, rallies, and entry of tractor trolleys carrying individuals will be completely restricted.

Several farmer associations, primarily from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab, have called for a march on February 13, demanding a law guaranteeing Minimum Support Price (MSP) for their produce, which was one of the conditions they set when they agreed to end their agitation in 2021.
