Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: A split session at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, three wickets for Railways but plenty of runs for Delhi to keep the game moving at an excellent rate.

No doubt a lot of disappointment over Kohli's wicket, but Badoni's innings has provided entertainment to those who stayed over at the stadium. The second session will present good batting conditions, can Badoni and Mathur take advantage?

Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: Taking the pressure on himself, Badoni has taken the attack to the Railways bowling and helped the innings recover extremely well. 7 boundaries and one six in his knock so far.

Delhi up to 164/4, 77 runs behind Railways. Saurashtra, meanwhile, reach 474, and look set to beat Assam. A win for Saurashtra would make qualification impossible for either Delhi or Railways.

Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: Excellent and quick-fire partnership between Badoni and Mathur to steady the ship in a quiet Delhi stadium. Badoni unafraid to play his shots, and Mathur looking busy at the crease.

Suddenly Delhi at 147/4, the deficit down to 94, and spin is finally introduced with Karn Sharma on the verge of lunch. Crucial little spell going in Delhi's favour here.

Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: Elsewhere, an incredible battle brewing for the honour of being the highest run-scorer in the group stages. Madhya Pradesh captain Shubham Sharma started the round 89 runs behind Tanmay of Hyderabad, but he is batting on 165* and still going.

However, Tanmay not letting it go easily, batting on 80*. Just a mountain of runs from this pair of batters, as they eye up potentially breaching the 900-run mark for the season.

Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: With some scorecard pressure on Delhi, Badoni takes it upon himself to try and force the issue by playing expansive strokes against Railways. A couple of boundaries, and Delhi race to the 100-run mark.

Another wicket before lunch is what Railways want. Delhi now 110/4 after 32 overs.

Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: Sangwan gets Sangwan, and Delhi are in trouble now! Himanshu comes around the wicket to lefty Sanat, and it's a very similar dismissal to Kohli's. The delivery pitches and jags back in at the stumps, and Sanat is nowhere close to it.

Delhi falling flat after their start. 97/4 now after 29.1 overs.

Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: Unbelievable! Kohli finally middles a couple, shimmies down to smoke a straight drive for 4, and the very next delivery finds his off-stump knocked back as Himanshu Sangwan gets one to jag through the gate.

"Balanced Performance at Arun Jaitley Stadium: A Promising Sign for Delhi's Cricket Team?"
"Balanced Performance at Arun Jaitley Stadium: A Promising Sign for Delhi's Cricket Team?"

Gone for 6(15), a memorable delivery for Sangwan, and the stadium shocked into silence. Many already pouring back out of the stadium, their hero's struggles not ending.

87/3.

Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: Kohli taking his time at the start of his innings, not quite middling deliveries just yet. 2 off his first 11 deliveries, Delhi now 82/2 after 27 overs. Sangwan slowing down at the other end as well.

Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: And right off the previous update, it all comes crashing down for Yash Dhull! It looks to be a tough decision against him, with the ball striking his thigh pad, looking both high and down leg. He stands astounded at the crease after the umpire's decision.

78/2, but that means one thing: Virat Kohli is here.

Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: A couple of edges here and there, but otherwise a very solid start to the morning by the two overnight batters. 76/1 after 23 overs, with both players batting well, and the crowd maybe even slightly rooting against them as they wait for Kohli to head to the crease.

Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: Pujara and Rahane both looked set for centuries at stumps, and instead both have fallen agonisingly short on the morning of day two, with Mumbai skipper Rahane out for 96. Tough morning.

Elsewhere, two wickets in an over has left Baroda tottering at 40/4, two wickets without a run added to their overnight score. Baroda need to avoid a loss, or draw with a first innings lead, if they want Mumbai's result to be irrelevant to their own qualification.

Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: Runs coming a bit quicker now, as Delhi work their way up to 59/1 with a few boundaries. One of these is a delightful cover drive from Dhull, another U-19 World Cup winning captain. Delhi fans certainly watching with interest: the similarities won't go unnoticed.

Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: No century for Pujara in Rajkot! Having reached 99, another First Class ton looked to be a certainty, but the batter was finally dislodged. Saurashtra now 377/4, still in a good position.

In Delhi, a quiet start in the morning. 47/1.

Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: And play gets underway at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Will be interesting to see how the excitement of the crowd builds over the day. Railways looking for an early and unsettling breakthrough here — and Sangwan's bat is beaten with a huge appeal, but the umpire is unmoved.

Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: A big aspect of Kohli playing in this round is his will to iron out his recent struggles with poking at and edging deliveries outside the off stump. After his well-documented issues with that in Australia, the first thing Kohli would want is to avoid getting out in that fashion vs Railways.

Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: Kohli's teammates will have the added motivation of sticking around so they can spend time at the crease and form partnerships with him, which could be invaluable for the young players. Dhull looked in good touch, but sligtly brash, and will need to be careful.

Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: India's old guard had a very solid first day, with Pujara (95*) and Rahane (83*) hoping to convert their scores to centuries in the first session.

We will keep an eye on that, but Virat Kohli will need to produce a performance of a similar calibre. He won't want to be outperformed by two players the Indian team decided to move on from.

Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: A brisk end to the day saw Delhi reach 41/1 in 10 overs before stumps was called. The home team will be optimistic about hauling down the first innings score on a pitch that has shown no real demons when the ball is older.

Sanat Sangwan and Yash Dhull will see out the first few overs, where swing could be a factor, but then Delhi will want it to be their day from that point on.

Ranji Trophy LIVE SCORE, Delhi vs Railways: Good morning and welcome everyone, to our live coverage of Day 2 of the ongoing Ranji Trophy match between Delhi and Railways, straight from the Arun Jaitley Stadium. After restricting Railways to 241, Delhi reached 41/1 at Stumps on Day 1 and trail by 200 runs. Fans will be eagerly waiting to see Kohli in batting action today!
