Rajkumar Hirani is set to make his OTT debut soon. The filmmaker will assume the role of a showrunner and has roped in Vikrant Massey for a pivotal role in it.
RAJKUMAR HIRANI’S OTT DEBUT
In a virtual meeting with PTI, Rajkumar Hirani revealed that he will be making his OTT debut on Disney+Hotstar, which will feature Vikrant Massey.
The ‘Dunki’ director said, “I'm doing an OTT show, which we actually start shooting this month. I'm a showrunner for that, I'm not directing it. It's a show for Hotstar (Disney Plus Hotstar), and Vikrant Massey is playing a role in it.”
“It's something I'm very happy about, with the script and the way it has panned out. On this show, I’m really involved, and it’s in my own space," the filmmaker added.
Rajkumar Hirani shared that he used the time he had during the pandemic to work on more scripts, and has a couple of feature film ideas as well.
PLANS ABOUT THE ‘MUNNABHAI’ SERIES
Rajkumar Hirani addressed the long-standing question regarding the next film of the ‘Munnabhai’ franchise too.
Hirani shared, “It’s not that I don’t want to do it, 100 per cent I want to do it because I had fun making those films. After every film, I’ve tried to write one ‘Munnabhai’. So, I have five unfinished Munna Bhai scripts lying with me with various titles.”
Despite confirming that he had plans with a few working titles in mind, the director emphasised on making a film with a good narrative and not merely for box office success. Hirani also conveyed his desire of working with Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi once again
