GT vs CSK: Tyagi Debuts for GT

Tyagi debuted for GT after being named as a replacement for Josh Little in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against CSK on Friday, May 10 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Back in 2020, the 23-year-old Tyagi made his IPL debut for RR against MI at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

In 19 matches, Tyagi has picked up 15 wickets at an economy rate of 9.98. Apart from RR, the speedster also played for SRH before making a move to GT. As far as the Titans are concerned, they are languishing at the bottom of the table with 8 points and a net run rate of -1.320 thanks to wins in 4 out of 11 games.

The Super Kings, in the meantime, have strengthened their batting unit by roping in Rachin Ravindra. The New Zealander started his IPL campaign with a couple of thunderous knocks, but lost his way in the middle of the tournament. He has replaced fast bowler Richard Gleeson.

In 7 IPL matches this season, Ravindra has scored 133 runs at an average of 19 and a strike-rate of 164.2 with a top score of 46 to his name. CSK are currently placed fourth in the table with 12 points and a net run rate of +0.700 courtesy of wins in 6 out of 11 matches. If CSK beat GT, they will move to third in the points table.
