Kerala-born rapper Hanumankind's latest music video 'Big Dawgs' has left music lovers across the globe in a frenzy, and many are even referring to it as the ‘Song of the Summer’. Hanumankind, who has c cemented his reputation in Indian hip-hop as one of the few prolific English-language rappers, this time took it a notch higher with filming it inside a well of death. Soon after the music album started receiving global attention, the rapper received both praise and a wave of racist comments from some netizens.
‘Big Dawgs’ has gained 1.3 million views on YouTube in two weeks of its release. While the internet is going gaga over, a few outright problematic comments read, “I can smell him through the video,” "Indians speak English?" “He is Kamala's nephew,” “The music is just like their street food. It's a**,” “Dude made it outta the Kachori Soup.”
While launching the album, earlier this month, he said, “‘Big Dawgs. For all the risk-takers. Putting it all on the line for the life they live @whatsabijoy lfg my brother. Big love to the incredible people that were involved in this project. Couldn’t have done this without y’all. Hands down one of the most intense experiences I’ve ever had.”
