Himachal Pradesh CM donated lifetime savings to Apda Rahat Kosh



Shimla- Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Mr Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu donated Rs 51 lakh rupees to Disaster relief fund which is Apda Rahat Kosh. Apda Rahat Kosh was setup with the aim of collecting the donation for disaster relief areas of the flood hit state.Since the Monsoon hit the state on june to september 2023 many people had lost their lives because of the landslides and flash floods and thousands of people have been left homeless.



As CM came forward to help the needy, the children also broke their piggy banks and along with the senior citizen and state employees donated money for the disaster relief fund. The Chief Minister talked with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to get the Centre's support.The CM claimed that 12000 crore rupees are needed for the relief efforts.


The CM said" I can understand the pain of the people and plight during the recent Monsoon disaster in which many precious lives were lost and many people have lost their homes."


The CM added that every section of the society had actively contributed towards the Apda Rahat Kosh.The people of Himachal Pradesh have stood together to face the disaster." The HP Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu along with his wife presented the cheque to the chief secretary Prabodh Saxena on friday.


According to a report this Monsoon season 165 incidents of landslides and 72 incidents of flash floods were reported so far
