The met department stated the change in weather is expected due to a developing low-pressure area over the southeast Bay of Bengal. This system is expected to intensify and move west-northwestward toward the Tamil Nadu coast within the next two days. Fishermen have been warned to avoid the sea, with those already out advised to return to shore immediately.
