India and Australia renewed their rivalry, but this time in the T20I format today. With Suryakumar Yadav donning the hat of captain for the first time, India beat Australia by two wickets in Visakhapatnam.
The India vs Australia T20I series begins just 4 days after the ODI World Cup Final 2023. India and Australia played the summit clash on 19 November in Ahmedabad, in which Australia bested India to win their 6th trophy. Several members of the World Cup squad had to move on quickly from the emotions of the final and start preparing for the T20I series.
Australia batter Marnus Labuschagne raised concerns about the scheduling ahead of the match and said that it was hard to fathom that the players will have to turn up on 23 November to play an international game.
"It is astonishing that there's another game on tomorrow," Labuschagne was quoted as saying by Fox Sports ahead of the first T20I.
"That's hard to fathom. It's hard to fathom how those guys are going to be playing in a day's time," Labuschagne further added
Do you think India will register another victory in the next match?
