HIGHLIGHTS
iPhone 16 Pro Max battery life estimates are here along with expected size improvement.
iPhone 16 Pro could have a similar-sized or bigger battery.
The display, camera and other key details about the upcoming Pro iPhones have also been tipped.
It’ll be a long time before Apple launches the iPhone 16 Pro Max but the rumours about the device are already here. Last week we heard this iPhone would have a larger battery and now it is being backed by another source who claims it is going to be the longest-ever battery life in an iPhone.
iPhone 16 Pro Max battery life rumours
As per a Naver user yeux1122, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a bigger battery than the iPhone 15 Pro Max which could result in the longest-ever battery life on an iPhone. Figure-wise, that could be 30 hours compared to 29 hours on the predecessor.
Last week’s report suggested this top-end iPhone model could benefit from a 5 percent larger battery. So that could mean it gets a 4,676mAh cell as the precursor has a 4,422mAh cell
Even if this difference in size may seem small, the battery life could be aided by overall power-efficiency changes in both software and hardware. We hope it turns out true as it is rumoured to bring a bigger 6.9-inch MLA OLED screen and a larger screen would sip more battery.
Lastly, on the battery front, the 16 Pro Max is also said to retain an L-shaped battery design which is a dual-cell arrangement to save internal space.
Other iPhone 16 Pro series rumours
The same source claims the iPhone 16 Pro could have a bigger 6.3-inch MLA OLED screen, hinting at a larger chassis. Its bezels could be more noticeable than the Galaxy S24’s.
It could come with either a similar-sized battery as the iPhone 15 Pro or a bit bigger
There could be some changes to its internal design to house a 5x periscope zoom camera which was also found in last year’s Pro Max model. This year’s Pro Max could house a Super Periscope camera.
Rest, both phones could feature Apple A18 Pro SoC, a new capture button, up to 2TB storage, 8GB RAM, exclusive on-device AI capabilities, and improved Titanium build
