Vicky Kaushal starrer Chhaava’s trailer will be released today. Ahead of it, the makers have released stunning posters of the lead actors. Akshaye Khanna’s look as emperor Aurangzeb has impressed fans. The periodical drama is all set to release on February 14, 2025.
On Tuesday, Vicky Kaushal shared the posters of emperor Aurangzeb. “Darr aur dehshat ka naya chehra – Presenting #AkshayeKhanna as Mughal Shahenshah Aurangzeb, the ruthless ruler of the Mughal Empire! #ChhaavaTrailer out tomorrow. Releasing in cinemas on 14th February 2025,” read the caption here. One of the fans wrote, “Looking very promising.” Another wrote, “This is cinema for me.”
On Tuesday, Rashmika Mandanna took to her social media handles and shared posters of her ‘Maharani Yesubai’ look from the movie. In the posters, the actress looks royal as she dons a saree with traditional jewellery. While one of the posters features Rashmika smiling, she looks visibly upset and tense in the other one.
“Behind every great king, there stands a queen of unmatched strength. Maharani Yesubai – the pride of Swarajya,” Rashmika wrote in the caption of her post and also reminded all that the film’s trailer will be out on January 22.
Chhaava is a historical drama that revolves around the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. In the film, Vicky Kaushal is set to portray the character of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of the Maratha empire’s founder. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya Dutta in key roles.
Recently, Vicky Kaushal attended CNN News18’s Indian of the Year 2024 Awards to receive the Youth Icon award, when he talked about the movie and said, “To be honest, when you start discussing an opportunity like Chhaava and when it comes your way, Laxman Utekar is the director of the film, and Dinesh Vijan is the producer of the film, and it’s the same team that I worked with in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. So Laxman Sir discussed this opportunity with me when we were shooting that film. The first feeling is just, will I be able to do justice to such an incredible legacy? But that’s what excites me the most as well. Also, every opportunity like this, when you get a great man like Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, it is also a beautiful opportunity to understand their culture, their history, their values, their beliefs, and their love for the country.”
Chhaava will hit theatres on February 14, 2025.
