Ariana Grande may be at the peak of her career, but behind the glitz and glamour, the singer is reportedly struggling with the intense pressures of her demanding work schedule, media obligations, and personal challenges. With Wicked breaking records as the highest-grossing film adaptation of a Broadway musical and earning her an Oscar nomination, Ariana is basking in professional success. However, recent public appearances have sparked concern among fans regarding her health.

At the BAFTAs in London, Ariana stunned in a pink and black Louis Vuitton gown, but many fans expressed worry over her noticeably hollow cheeks and visible sternum. Now, sources close to the singer have revealed that the toll of stress and anxiety is affecting her health significantly.
Speaking to Page Six, a former colleague shed light on the gruelling nature of Ariana’s schedule. “It’s physically so demanding. I don’t even think your body knows when it needs to eat. You’re sleeping when you’re supposed to be up, and you’re up when you’re supposed to be sleeping. Between that, and the constant demands of fashion—hair, makeup, nails—it’s nonstop. It’s superhuman.”
The insider further added, “Running on that kind of schedule takes a toll on your health. It becomes that much harder to take care of yourself—mentally and physically. You always have to be ‘on.’ You have to measure every word you say, constantly thinking, ‘If I say this, how will it be interpreted?’ Your brain never stops working.”
Another individual who worked with Ariana Grande in the past shared that she has dealt with anxiety for a long time but has always managed it well. According to them, the singer always looked confident and comfortable with herself. They never felt that she was unhappy with her appearance or had any issues with how she looked.
In a recent interview on the Hollywood Reporter podcast Awards Chatter, the singer spoke about her struggles with mental health, including PTSD, depression and anxiety. Between 2018 and 2019, she released her fourth and fifth albums, Sweetener and Thank U, Next, within just six months, adding to her existing pressure.
She said, “I was doing so much therapy, and I was dealing with PTSD and all different kinds of grief and depression and anxiety, and I was, of course, treating it very seriously, but having music be a part of that remedy was contributing to saving my life. They were dark times, and the music brought so much levity, and so did the experience. But it poured out with urgency, and it was made with urgency, and it was a means of survival.”
Ariana explained that Thank U, Next was created in a rush because she felt it was something she needed to do for herself. The songs came naturally and working on the album helped her deal with her emotions during a difficult time. While her music label understood her feelings, they were unsure about shifting focus from Sweetener so quickly. However, Ariana didn’t want to follow the usual industry rules.
Wicked has received nominations in 10 different categories in the upcoming Oscars, including Actress in a Leading Role, Actress in a Supporting Role, Costume Design, Film Editing, Makeup and Hairstyling, Music (Original Score), Best Picture, Production Design, Sound and Visual Effects.
