Aformer model has accused Donald Trump of groping her during an encounter in Trump Tower in 1993, claiming it was part of a "twisted game" involving the late Jeffrey Epstein. During a Christmas party in 1992, Stacey Williams, a model in the 1990s, claimed to have met Trump through Epstein, a convicted sexual offender.
Alleged Incident at Trump Tower
In a Zoom call hosted by "Survivors for Kamala," a group that supports Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, Williams, who is now 56, described the alleged attack. She recalled that in early 1993, Epstein, whom she had dated briefly, proposed that they go see Trump at Trump Tower. She says that when she arrived, Trump drew her close to him and touched her buttocks, waist, and breasts.
She stated that Epstein and Trump exchanged smiles during the incident, which left her frozen in shock. “I felt like a piece of meat,” Williams said. She described Epstein growing angry with her after they left, berating her for what happened. "He made me feel so disgusting," she said, reported The Guardian.
Previous Social Media Claims
Pennsylvania native Williams has previously alluded to the purported meeting on social media, but only lately did he give all the specifics. "I was afraid of public backlash, so I decided not to come forward earlier," she added. She remarked, "I love being anonymous," expressing her need for privacy and worry for her child, as per The Guardian's report.
The model said that throughout the years, she had discussed the experience with a number of people. One acquaintance claimed that Williams showed her a postcard that Trump had given that said, "Stacey – Your home away from home. Love, Donald!" while another corroborated that she had heard about the alleged groping starting in 2005.
Trump’s History of Sexual Misconduct Allegations
The charges against Trump are in line with those of more than two dozen women who allege that Trump committed sexual misconduct over a number of decades. These accusations include inappropriate behavior during beauty pageants, groping, and unwanted kissing, The Guardian reported.
In 2023, a jury awarded author E. Jean Carroll $5 million in damages after finding Trump accountable for sexually assaulting her in 1996. Williams's claims have been rejected by Trump's campaign as politically motivated, and he has continuously denied any sexual misconduct complaints. A campaign spokesperson stated, "These accusations are unequivocally false."
Trump and Epstein’s Relationship
The claims also raise concerns about Trump's ties with Epstein, who passed away in jail in 2019 after being found guilty of sex charges. Although there is no proof that Trump and Epstein were involved in any unlawful activity, they were known to be pals in the 1990s and early 2000s. After Epstein was found guilty in 2008 of enticing a child for prostitution in Florida, Trump cut ties with him.
Williams said that at the time of their connection, she was unaware of Epstein's illegal actions. Shortly after the events at Trump Tower, she broke up with him.
Trump's crew has persisted in denying any misconduct in spite of the grave nature of the accusations. Williams has expressed that she now feels more prepared to handle the potential backlash, having watched other women come forward with similar claims against the former president, according to The Guardian.
