Chennai Super Kings will aim to remain on the winning track when they take on Punjab Kings on Wednesday in an IPL 2024 match.

Having led CSK to their fifth IPL title in 2023, Dhoni decided to step away from captaincy a day before the season got underway. He has featured in nine games so far this season and scored 96 runs at a strike-rate of 259.46.
Dhoni’s sublime batting was on full display during the game against Lucknow Super Giants. Having faced nine deliveries against the KL Rahul-led side, the legendary Indian captain belted an unbeaten 28 His terrific innings comprised three fours and two sixes.
The 42-year-old’s supreme effort, however, went in vain as CSK suffered an eight-wicket defeat.
This wasn’t the only time that Dhoni turned the clock back. He had scored 20 runs off just four balls against Mumbai Indians as well. Facing Hardik Pandya in the final over of CSK innings, the wicketkeeper-batter slammed three sixes.
CSK went on to win that contest by 20 runs.
With 10 points from nine games, the reigning champions are placed at the fourth spot on the table. The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side will enter the game against PBKS having won their last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad by 78 runs.
The match between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk. Chennai Super Kings have enjoyed an impressive run in their home games so far this season.
