Her candid revelations highlight the perseverance required to break into Bollywood.
Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Sharvari recalled her early days navigating auditions, often unaware of the specific projects she was auditioning for. “During auditions, people don’t tell you for which movie we are doing auditions, at least at the initial stage,” she explained. She shared her experiences auditioning for 'Sultan' and 'Sui Dhaaga: Made in India' both of which featured Anushka Sharma in pivotal roles. "I remember auditioning for 'Sui Dhaaga' and 'Sultan' (in and around). Actually, I got a random call asking me to come for an introduction and their casting office is in Juhu."
Sharvari's journey to her current success has been marked by frequent auditions and a relentless drive to succeed. She attended auditions every “2-3 months,” often without knowing the exact nature of the projects. This dedication ultimately paid off when she landed the lead role in 'Bunty Aur Babli 2' (2021) alongside Rani Mukerji. While the film did not achieve major commercial success, it marked Sharvari's official entry into Bollywood, paving the way for future opportunities.
Reflecting on her debut, Sharvari acknowledged the initial disappointment but remained optimistic. "When you make your debut, you're in a bubble," she said. "There's so much dedication, a dream you see every day to be on the big screen. I've dreamt of that since before 'Bunty Aur Babli 2', throughout the shoot, and even after the release."
Sharvari’s latest project, 'Munjya' is set in Pune and the Konkan region, blending elements of horror and comedy. Sharvari plays a pivotal role in the film, which revolves around a mythical creature named Munjya, who disrupts the life of the character Bittu, portrayed by Abhay Verma. The film has garnered positive reviews and propelled Sharvari further into the spotlight.
Looking ahead, Sharvari’s upcoming projects are particularly exciting. She is set to share screen space with Alia Bhatt in an untitled YRF action thriller. This film will be part of YRF’s spy universe, marking a significant step forward in Sharvari’s career. The filming is set to begin by the end of July. She also has 'Vedaa' starring John Abraham, set for release on Independence Day 2024.
Sharvari's perseverance and hard work have undoubtedly paid off, leading to significant roles and a promising future in Bollywood. Her journey serves as an inspiration for aspiring actors, showcasing the importance of dedication and resilience in the face of uncertainty and challenges.
