Actor Kamal Haasan took to social media to finally announce the official release date of his film 'Indian 2' with director Shankar. The movie will hit the big screens on July 12, and the first single from the movie will be launched this Wednesday, May 22. The actor, through his Twitter account, made a simple yet special announcement for his fans. His post read, "#Indian2 is releasing worldwide in cinemas on July 12, 2024!"
Indian 2' is the sequel to the 1996 cult classic action drama, and the film focuses on the freedom fighter turned vigilante who stops corruption. The sequel to the film now showcases the return of the celebrated character Senapathy. The film initially went on floors in 2019, and now, after 5 years of hard work, the movie is making it to theaters for its release.

The actor shared the film's poster in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, which had the actor riding a horse in a silhouette.
The film stars Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, SJ Suryah, Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Guru Somasundaram, Kalidas Jayaram, Samuthirakani, Gulshan Grover, Nedumudi Venu, and Vivek, among others, and the music for it is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
