Meerut RRTS Corridor: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the first corridor of Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) in Uttar Pradesh’s Sahibabad and flagged off a RAPIDX, now ‘Namo Bharat’ train from the station.
The priority section of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor will be launched from the Sahibabad RAPIDX station. The prime minister will flag off a RAPIDX train connecting Sahibabad and Duhai Depot, marking the launch of RRTS in India, a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said. And this train will be known as “Namo Bharat”.
PM Modi will also address a public rally to mark the occasion and will later inaugurate two stretched of the east-west corridor of the Bengaluru Metro.
