Dwivedi’s next, Madanika, is a periodic suspense thriller, that requires her to upskill. “The story unfurls in a book. My character, Madanika, is an archaeologist who loves reading historical books. She loves to travel and discover new things. It’s great because I am a voracious reader myself. However, I am also required to know classical dance,” she says
‘People haven’t seen me in a traditional avatar’For this film, I’ve begun training in classical dance. It’s something I’ve stayed away from, growing up, but since this role requires me to do some moves, I decided to learn. You have to pay respect to the art form. Also, this movie has an interesting screenplay; there are portions of the past and the future in it. It’s something new, and people haven’t seen me in a traditional avatar, in a period role. For me, this is something new as well, since the character requires me to wear a lot of heavy jewellery, but I’m the exact opposite of that.
‘I’ve had to put on some weight for the role’Since I also play the role of a dancer in this movie, I had to put on some weight. But, since I’m also juggling other roles, the weight fluctuation is going to be a challenge. But, I’ve gotten myself a trainer and I am focusing on my workouts and diet.
