"Runway Mastery: Dhruv Kapoor's Brilliance at Milan Men's Fashion Week - Striking Designs and Designer's Statement"

Milan Men's Fashion Week, Indian fashion designer Dhruv Kapoor stood undeterred. Milan has become almost like a second home for Kapoor, having made history as the first Indian designer to present a menswear show at Milan Fashion Week in June 2022. Since the launch of his eponymous label in 2013, Kapoor has consistently grabbed attention with his vibrant and bold designs, starting from his debut at Lakmé Fashion Week in 2014 and continuing to make waves globally. Notably, he clinched the Young Designer Award by Camera della Moda, Italy, in 2019

"Runway Mastery: Dhruv Kapoor's Brilliance at Milan Men's Fashion Week - Striking Designs and Designer's Statement"

For his fall/winter 2024-2025 collection at Milan Men's Fashion Week, Kapoor aimed to construct a utopian world where opposing elements coexist in harmony. In the face of the current global state of affairs, the designer sought to convey a message of peace, balance, and love prevailing over all challenges. Was this a political statement embedded in his artistic expression? It certainly seemed so, as models confidently walked down a runway transformed into a running track, adorned in jerseys and sweatshirts emblazoned with slogans like "One World" and "Better Together."

The Delhi-based designer also delved into Blokecore, a social media-driven trend and aesthetic reinterpreting sportswear, particularly football attire. Kapoor seamlessly merged sport, utility, couture, and tailoring, showcasing traditional textiles reimagined through enhanced structures such as neo-suiting, where neoprene is seamlessly integrated into sharp tailoring, and liquid lame biker jackets.
