New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday declined to consider the plea of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren for interim bail in a money laundering case for election campaigning reasons. The bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta directed that the matter be listed before a vacation bench next Tuesday, May 21.
Soren approached the Supreme Court after the Jharkhand High Court dismissed his petition challenging his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with an alleged land scam on January 31.
