Eight people were killed and 17 others injured when a 21-year-old student went on a stabbing spree in China's eastern city of Wuxi on Saturday evening, police said in a statement.
Notably, this incident comes just following a hit-and-run incident where thirty-five people were killed and 43 others injured after a car drove into a group of people outside a sport centre in China's southern city of Zhuhai.
According to some reports on internet, the suspect was apprehended at the scene. According to preliminary investigations by Yixing public security authorities, Global Times reported that the suspect carried out the attack as an act to vent anger due to his failure to pass exams and obtain his diploma, as well as dissatisfaction with internship compensation.
