A law student fell to his death from the seventh floor of Supreme Towers in Noida's Sector 99 on Saturday while he was at a friend's house for a party.
According to the police officials, the student used to live in Ghaziabad and was visiting a friend’s house to attend a party in Noida where the incident took place under suspicious circumstances, News18 reported.
The deceased has been identified as Tapas, who was pursuing LLB from a private university in Noida.
The incident took place on Saturday. After some time, the police were informed that the boy had fallen to his death from the seventh floor.
After a preliminary investigation, the police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against four to five people. Some people have also been taken into custody, officials said, according to an NDTV report.
Tapas' body has been sent for a post-mortem.
The media cell of the Noida Police Commissionerate said the family of the student has been informed and the matter is being "thoroughly investigated from all angles", NDTV reported.
