VOTING DATE:

The voting date for Phase 5 of the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh is set for May 20. On this day, millions of citizens across the state will exercise their fundamental right to vote, contributing to the democratic process of electing their representatives.

NUMBER OF SEATS:

Phase 5 of the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh encompasses a significant number of parliamentary constituencies, with Mohanlalganj, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Jalaun, Jhansi, Hamirpur, Banda, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Barabanki, Faizabad, Kaiserganj, Gonda up for grabs. Each constituency represents a unique amalgamation of cultures, traditions, and socio-economic dynamics, making the electoral battle a microcosm of the state's diversity.

CANDIDATES:

In Mohanlalganj, the electoral arena witnesses a fierce battle between Kaushal Kishore from the BJP and RK Chaudhary representing the SP. Lucknow sees a high-profile contest as BJP stalwart Rajnath Singh faces off against Ravidas Mehrotra of the SP.


Jalaun becomes the stage for a three-cornered fight featuring Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma of the BJP, Narayan Das Ahirwar from the SP, and Suresh Chandra Gautam. Jhansi witnesses a showdown between Anurag Sharma of the BJP and Pradeep Jain Aditya representing the INC.

Hamirpur witnesses a heated contest between Kunwar Pushpendra Singh Chandel of the BJP and Ajendra Singh Rajput from the SP. In Banda, R K Singh Patel of the BJP clashes with Shivshankar Singh Patel of the SP, along with Mayank Dwivedi. Fatehpur sees Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti representing the BJP. Kaushambi becomes the battleground for Vinod Sonkar from the BJP.

In Barabanki, Rajrani Rawat of the BJP takes on Tanuj Punia from the INC. Lastly, in Faizabad, the electoral contest features Lallu Singh of the BJP, Awadhesh Prasad from the SP, and Sachchidanand Pandey. Gonda witnesses a face-off between Kirti Vardhan Singh alias Raja Bhaiya of the BJP and Shreya Verma representing the SP.
