Four schoolchildren have reportedly gone missing in Vizag after being inspired by the Dulquer Salmaan's hit film 'Lucky Bhaskar'. The Tollywood film, celebrated for its compelling narrative of a common man’s rise from rags to riches, has inadvertently led to an unusual and concerning incident.

Reports claim that the 4 boys, identified as Charan Teja, Raghu, Karthik, and Kiran Kumar, all ninth graders residing in a hostel in Maharanipet, were so fascinated by the character Bhaskar’s journey to attain wealth and success, that they decided to emulate his story in real life.

A viral CCTV video shows the boys climbing their hostel gates. The boys were seen passing their bags over the gate before taking turns to climb it and run away. The timestamp on the clip reportedly sees the 4 executing their escape at around 6.20 am.

Before leaving, the students reportedly told their friends they would return only after earning enough money to buy cars, just like it was depicted in the film. They reportedly executed a plan to escape from their hostel and have not been seen since.

Alarmed by their disappearance, the children’s parents have approached local police, who have filed a missing persons case. Authorities are actively searching railway stations, bus terminals, and other public places in an effort to locate the boys.

'Lucky Bhaskar' witnessed huge success at the box office raking in an estimated Rs 80 crore. The film has also won praise from critics and audiences alike for its inspiring storyline. Salmaan portrays a bank employee who becomes a billionaire through determination and ingenuity. However, the film is purely fictional and intended for entertainment purposes only.

The movie continued to soar in popularity, following its OTT debut on Netflix on November 28.
