Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan is gearing up to switch from super-spy to superhero mode when he begins shooting for 'Krrish 4' in 2025.
The actor is reportedly set to return to his iconic role as Krrish and don his trademark black trenchcoat in the fourth instalment of the sci-fi film. According to a report on Midday, the film is finally set to go on floors, over a decade after the release of 'Krrish 3' in 2013.
According to the report, Hrithik will take a deep dive into the ambitious project after completing the shoot for 'WAR 2', where he stars alongside South superstar Jr NTR. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film that is part of the Bollywood Spy universe, is currently in its final stages, with a final schedule reportedly planned for April 2025. The final sequence is believed to be a critical action sequence that aims to be better than the 2019 original. "The April schedule will be dedicated entirely to these high-octane sequences, after which the spy thriller will wrap," the report states.
After wrappingg up work on the action movie, Hrithik will soon move on to his next film and reunite with director Karan Malhotra and producer-father Rakesh Roshan for 'Krrish 4'. Malhotra, who previously collaborated with Hrithik on the 2012 hit Agneepath, has been working closely with Rakesh to refine the script for over two years. The leading man has also been involved in the creative process.
Given the success of spectacle-driven films in recent years, the Roshans are keen to raise the benchmark in the superhero genre with this new film which will have extensive schedules in Mumbai and select locations across Europe
'WAR 2' is slated to hit the big screens on August 14, 2025.
