TMC MP Sushmita Dev said, "We want to raise the issues of the public. Our leader Mamata Didi has told us that issues of employment, inflation, Manipur and funds meant for West Bengal to be raised. When BJP talks on issues other than these, it is their way to ensure they don't talk on these important issues."
“If there is a discussion, we could rip the BJP to shreds on these issues. So, TMC walked out of the Rajya Sabha today over BJP obstructing proceedings of the House. The no-confidence motion (against Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar) moved by Opposition is allowed under the Constitution, it is not against the rules,” she added.

BJP MP Arun Singh said that the Opposition leaders are creating an issue out of nothing.
"There are connections between Geroge Soros, Sonia Gandhi and the powers working to break the country. They bring a topic before every Parliament session and halt the House proceedings... We requested the Speaker to have a discussion on how Congress is standing with anti-India powers," he added.

If the dignity and norms are upheld, a positive message will go to the people," he said.

Amid the ongoing continuous disruptions in the Houses, union Parliamentary Affairs minister Kiren Rijiju said whatever the issues may be, parliamentary proceedings should not be disrupted.
"Many MPs including MPs from the Samajwadi Party, TMC and the Congress have come to me. The entire Congress party in Rajya Sabha are looking for debate and discussion in the House. It is only Rahul Gandhi who doesn't want to take part in the parliamentary proceeding. Probably Rahul Gandhi doesn't believe in parliamentary democracy," he added.
Rijiju further said, "But all other MPs are very interested in having debates and discussions in the House. Every MP is concerned about their constituency... Rahul Gandhi doesn't have to bother about any issues... He doesn't have any understanding about the plight of the people... So whenever the Congress MPs have come to me, I told them to convince their leader."
