The Day of the Jackal, episode 8 takes its viewers back to Tallinn. Here Jackal meets Leonora and lets her know that Secret Service agents are nearby, asking her people to help him evade them. Leonora is impressed and pulls some strings to slow down MI6.
In the next scene, Jackal and Alvaro are shown hiding their guns and money in their pockets. Bianca hasn't been able to spot Jackal in broad daylight, but a policeman recognizes his face from his past interrogation and reports it.
Bianca and Vince are attacked as they leave the building. The two narrowly escape death as the attackers are stopped outside only to find out that the Jackal has escaped out of their reach again.
Jackal comes out of hiding to make his way to the sniper spot on the day of the big speech. He prepares his shot but soon someone bursts onto the scene and things go haywire. UDC is eliminated, the operation fails and the crowd in the arena goes wild. Amidst all this, Jackal gets on the run again.
In The Day of the Jackal’s 6th episode, MI6 agent Bianca Pullman inches closer to her intended victim, the Jackal - a professional assassin with a history of involvement in a dirty political assassination in Germany. The assassin has accepted a new contract from secret American clients willing to pay millions to kill Ulle Dag Charles, who is determined to present his project, River, for financial transparency.
But Jackal's trip to Budapest in search of the special weapon only puts him in greater danger, as Bianca has hired gunsmith Norman to track him down. In episode 6, Jackal narrowly escapes Bianca but finds himself in even more hot water.
Nuria and Jackal's marriage changes when she learns more about his job. He has avoided the hard conversations by saying he works for the good guys, but he will soon have to face the truth. Meanwhile, Jackal's brief affair with Rasmus puts a strain on his marriage to Nuria.
